Northern Spirit Basketball Club – Senior Season 2026/27

Northern Spirit Basketball Club welcomes all returning and new senior players to Season 2026/27. Whether you're returning to the club or joining Northern Spirit for the first time, we'd love to have you involved.

🏀 Senior Expressions of Interest (EOI) – Now Open!

Expressions of Interest are now being accepted for all Men's and Women's senior competitions. EOIs are also welcomed from players interested in the anticipated Men's Veterans competition.

EOI Closing Date: Sunday 16 August 2026

Season Commences: Thursday 24 September 2026

Submitting an EOI is the first step in preparing for the upcoming season and is essential to assist Northern Spirit Basketball Club with planning player numbers, team nominations, competition entries and overall season preparation.

📌 Please note:

• Completing an EOI is required to be considered for a team nomination.
• Completing an EOI does not guarantee placement in a particular team or division.
• Players who do not submit an EOI by the closing date may miss the opportunity to be included in team nominations.
• PlayHQ competition registrations will open once teams have been finalised.

Northern Spirit aims to provide opportunities for players of all abilities while supporting competitive pathways across the senior competition.

Following the close of EOIs, a Senior Player Planning Meeting will be held as part of the Club's planning process for the upcoming season. The meeting will assist the Committee in understanding player numbers, playing intentions and team preferences before finalising team nominations and competition entries. Further details, including the meeting date, will be shared in the coming weeks.

Senior pre-season scrimmage dates are also currently being finalised and will be announced in the coming weeks.
