NORTHERN SPIRIT BASKETBALL CLUB - 2022 SHOOT-A-THON

Get your teams ready to get involved in what will be an action-packed evening for players and families to WIN some fantastic prizes and cold hard CA$H!!

 

**REGISTRATIONS CLOSE: 4PM THURSDAY 3RD NOVEMBER 2022**

 

This event is open to players of all ages and abilities. Teams will compete to SCORE the highest number of points from the FREE THROW LINE or 3 POINT LINE in a designated time period. 

 

The evening will also feature 3X3 and individual shooting challenges, LIVE DJ "KARL", Spot prizes, Raffles, Food and Drinks and interactions with our visiting guests, including 2022 Commonwealth Games Silver medallist, 4 x NBL Champion with the Perth Wildcats and Mental Health and wellbeing advocate, Greg Hire.

 

COMPETITION CATEGORIES & PRIZES 

 

JUNIOR  DIVISION (U10 - U12 - U14) 

CHAMPIONS, Runner Up and 3rd placed teams will receive a range of prizes from our amazing family of sponsors and supporters to the value of $500.

 

SENIOR DIVISION (U16 - U18 - Seniors) 

CHAMPIONS = $500

RUNNER UP and 3rd place CA$H prizes.
 

OPEN DIVISION: All Ages 

CHAMPIONS = $500

 

*Players can only compete in a MAXIMUM of two competitions* 

i.e  1 junior and/or 1 Open round team & 1 Senior and/or 1 open round team

 

COMPETITION DETAILS 

JUNIOR TEAMS (U10, U12, U14) 

• Each team must have a minimum of 4 players and a maximum of 8. 
• You can only play in 1 junior team.
• Team nomination fee is $80.
• Teams will shoot from the free throw line.

 

SENIOR TEAMS (>14 years) 

• Each team must have a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 5 players. 
• You can only play in 1 senior team.
• Team nomination fee is $100. 
• Teams can shoot from the free throw line or the three point line.

 

OPEN ROUND – ALL AGES 

• Each team must have a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 5 players.
• You can only play in 1 open round team.
• Team nomination fee is $60.
• Teams can shoot from the free throw line or the three point line. 

 

COMPETITION RULES

• Each team will be nominated a time slot in the JUNIOR, SENIOR and OPEN division rounds and will compete to score the highest number of points in a designated time period. 
• The 2 highest scoring teams in the junior and senior rounds will compete for the 1st prize in their competition and the runner up will receive the 2nd prize.
• The 3rd and 4th highest scoring teams will complete for 3rd prize in their competition.
• The highest scoring team in the OPEN competition will automatically win 1st prize.
